I am Barb Wallace, and I am a classical homeopath, which is probably how you found me. My knowledge of homeopathy began when my brother, an naturopathic doctor, gave me the opportunity to experience and use homeopathy from the time my first child was born, 25 years ago. This became my family's primary form of medicine. Throughout their growing years, I realized how quickly and gently issues were resolved; the health of my children improved.
Since beginning this journey, I have observed how homeopathy can bring profound changes to one's health and well-being, allowing lives to be put back into natural balance. The efficacy of homeopathy intrigued me to the point where I decided to go back to school and earn my Classical Homeopath diploma. I studied at the Western College of Homeopathic Medicine in Calgary for four years, graduating in 2015.
Homeopathy covers a multitude of illness, disease and infection but also goes beyond the physical. Both mental and emotional health are taken into account when using homeopathy. It is the study of the whole person as opposed to allopathic medicine that specifically addresses one part of the person. One fact of homeopathy that I apprciate is how it allows the time and space for building a client-practitioner relationship. I am always looking for methods and knowledge that will help improve the quality of life for my patients.
This passion for knowledge has inspired me to embark on a 3 year post-graduate program. Prior to my post-graduate studies, I studied in India at Prana Homeopathy and Yoga Centre. My learning is constant and allows me to treat all ages and illnesses, but I have a special interest in:
Women’s Health: Menopause, PMS, and other various female specific ailments.
Mental Health: Depression, Generalized Anxiety Disorder and PTSD.
Children’s Health: Behavioural issues, ADD/ADHD, chronic disease, low immunity, and those with vaccine related injuries.
Outside of my practice, you can find me sipping an American or enjoying a piece of dark chocolate. I am the forever optimist, my family comes first and homeopathy is a close second! I have a passion for travel and often travel with my sister Kris, who is also a homeopath. Now that you know a little about me, I would be happy to meet and learn about you.
